Events
The Escuela Valdez PTO plans and implements events that serve our children. Some events, like Dia de los Muertos celebrations, are for fun and community building. Other events, like the yearly Fun Run, serve a dual purpose as fun for the kids and a fundraiser for our school. Please join us by helping at and attending our events throughout the shcool year. Fun run
Each year, the students and families join together in the annual Fun Run, a PTO fundraiser that occurs each fall.
Dia de los muertos
The Escuela Valdez PTO helps the school celebrate Dia de los Muertos through music, sugar skull decorating and ofrendas (alters). It is a special time that coincides with the school's Halloween celebrations.
Scholastic book fair
During the 2021-2022 school year, the Valdez PTO held two scholastic book fairs, which raised money and allowed the students to shop for books of their choosing.
Winter market
In December 2021, Valdez PTO held a winter market. We sold Christmas trees and vendors sold goods that the community could purchase for the holidays.
Dia del nino
At Escuela Valdez, our students love to celebrate Dia del Nino. Each classroom has a special celebration, with songs, treats and even pinatas.
Loteria
In May 2022, the PTO sponsored a Loteria night for Valdez parents. We raised money for the school and the parents enjoyed time socializing.
